Skiing
The 'Skiwelt Westendorf' is part of Austria's largest connecting ski area -
the 'SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental' with 279 km of piste, over 90 modern lifts and cable cars and over 70 relaxing huts and mountain restaurants. Experience the magnificent backdrop of the Kitzbüheler Alps and Wild Emperor Mountains and step directly into Austria's largest ski resort.
The "Ki-West" cable car connects you to the neighbouring Kitzbühel ski area, a short bus transfer accesses you to a further 160 km of excellent ski piste (Skipass Kitzbühel or KBA Ticket).
The SkiWelt Westendorf is also known as a mecca for snowboarders (Boardes Playground) and paragliders, spectacular events such as the Red Bull Jump & Freeze or the traditional Hahnenkamm-Warm-Up of the worlds best slalom racers a few days prior to the big Hahnenkamm event in Kitzbühel, and last but not least für die urigen und gemütlichen Hüt

Tobogganing is fun guaranteed, and is a must on your holiday! Stopping in at one of the huts or mountain restaurants alongside the toboggan run should definitely be part of it!

Looking for an alternative to skiing, cross-country or tobogganing? Then come to the icerink right in the centre of Westendorf...

at Sportpark Kitzbühel. Regardless of the weather - snow, rain or storm - children and parents can skate round and round to their hearts' desire.
With an area of 1.800 m² the bright and modern icerink at Sportpark Kitzbühel provides plenty of space for children and parents, accompanied by popular music.
Should the weather be sunny and crisp, families can choose to skate outdoors. Catch some winter sun rays in the 600 m² outside area.

Winter hiking
Experience the snow covered landscape on an easy walk on one of the many winter walking tracks in the valley or the more challenging ones through the romantic mountain ranges. Mountain huts and restaurants offer respite over culinary delights.
Go back in time on a snow shoe walk, offered daily at the tourist office.
You'll be taken to beautiful hidden away places, otherwise not easy to find.
